Education K-12

In keeping with Futures Educational Systems mission to help enhance quality and equity in education, we limit the max capacity in each of our classrooms to 30 students. Aside from receiving a strong core curriculum education, our students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities that complement their education. One such activity is the International Science & Engineering Fair. In 2009, one of our students won the competition and traveled to the United States to receive recognition. Other activities include: sports, programs offered by Oracle, Intel, Think, and Quest, and worldwide competitions.

Technology is constantly changing in our world, so we understand the importance of integrating technology into the classroom, to equip the students with the skills they need to succeed in the technology dependent world in which we live. At each of our Futures schools this is done through a variety of tools:

Smart Boards: All classes are equipped with interactive boards for digital curriculum in all subjects. The Smart Board assists the teacher in creating an atmosphere that is vivid, interactive, and is an all-in-one answer to needs in the classroom. Since integrating Smart Boards into our classrooms, we have seen a drop in absences of students. With this program lesson plans are easy to save for futures uses, improve communication with ability to collaborate with other teachers for ideas on improving the lesson plans, and create an easy way to build on experience.

Classmate PC: Used for one to one learning for grades K-6, it is a great tool for building basic computer skills, and with Learning through fun with Magic Desktop, students can perform mental mathematics, problem solving, and basic writing skills. A cart of 35 laptops are shared between 3-4 classrooms

Senteo: An interactive remote control device used for rating the students overall general knowledge through a classroom poll.

School Educational Management Systems: This program is used to track all Human Resource information, Student Affairs, Financial information for students, and teachers, transportation fees, etc. All schools are linked for ease of internal management.

Learning Management Systems: This was a great tool to have during the H1N1 virus outbreak; teachers were able to give assignments, make announcements, or work with students on projects via the internet.

Bridge IT: Online lecture or explanation from teachers to students or parents, with an area for students to ask questions about the lesson.

Futures Edu Resource Network: Teachers and Students alike benefit from this program. Each teacher uploads the lesson plans and explanations online for students or parents or fellow teachers to access. Students can also download extra exercises (word searches, .dot exercises, etc) for the lessons to further develop their skills.

Fast Track Kids Program: An Educational Program used to develop general knowledge in students in K-2.
